1. Who is responsible
Amavio is provided by Nawa Europe ("Amavio," "we," "us," or "our"). For privacy questions, contact privacy@nawaeurope.com.
2. Information in the iOS app
The Amavio app is designed without a pet-owner account or a remote storage backend for pet records. Pet profiles, photos, routines, reminders, health notes, documents, questions, and preferences are stored in the app's private local storage on your device.
We do not receive this local pet information. We do not sell it, use it to build advertising profiles, or use it to track you across apps or websites.
3. On-device intelligence
On compatible devices, Amavio can use Apple's on-device Foundation Models technology to help answer general pet-care questions, summarize notes, and prepare checklists. Amavio does not send those prompts or responses to an Amavio server. Apple Intelligence availability depends on your device, language, region, settings, and operating-system support.
Amavio Care Intelligence privately compares the selected animal's owner-confirmed profile, today's routine, up to three recent Pet Pulse entries, upcoming records, and owner-written notes to present explainable signals and one suggested next action. This processing happens inside the app on the device. It is not a diagnosis or clinical risk score. When the on-device language model is unavailable, Amavio uses its bundled offline care library, search, and rule-based safety guidance.
4. Animal recognition, notifications, photos, and files
- Animal recognition: when you choose to scan an animal, Apple Vision analyses the selected camera photos on the device to suggest an animal family and possible breed or type. The scan photos and recognition result are not sent to Amavio or a seller. You review and confirm the suggestion; visual recognition cannot prove pedigree, mixed ancestry, health, age, or temperament.
- Notifications: if you allow them, the app schedules daily care reminders and optional occasional playful notes locally through iOS. You can change notification access in iOS Settings.
- Photos and camera: access is requested only when you choose to scan an animal, add a profile photo, memory, or document. Selected content is stored locally in the app.
- Memory diary: memory titles, notes, feelings, dates, and photos remain in the app's local storage unless you deliberately export or share them.
- Language preference: your choice to follow the iPhone language or use a supported app language is stored locally.
- Files and exports: the app accesses only files you deliberately select. A care summary or document leaves the app only when you choose an iOS share or export action.
5. Partner recommendations
The app downloads an approved catalogue of products and sponsored banners from the Amavio Partner Hub. This catalogue request does not include your pet's profile, health notes, photos, questions, care goals, breed, or species. Relevance is calculated locally on your iPhone using the choices you made in the app. Sponsored and affiliate relationships are labelled.
The catalogue service and hosting infrastructure may process ordinary technical request data such as IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested resource, and security events to deliver content, prevent abuse, and diagnose availability. We do not use that request to create a pet profile or share pet information with sellers.
6. Partner accounts and order requests
Suppliers and publishers who register in the Partner Hub provide account and business information such as name, email, company, country, website, submitted products, campaign artwork, and subscription requests. We use this information to operate, secure, review, and administer the partner relationship.
If a pet owner deliberately submits a direct order request, the Partner Hub processes the name, email, delivery address, quantity, and optional note entered in that form and makes it available to the relevant supplier for order confirmation and fulfilment. The form does not collect the private pet profile stored in the app and does not capture card payment. The supplier is responsible for its own customer privacy notice, payment arrangement, delivery, returns, and legal obligations.
7. Device backup and deletion
Your device settings may include Amavio data in an Apple device backup. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by Amavio. Deleting an item in Amavio removes the app's local copy. Deleting the app removes its local container, subject to any separate device backup you control.
8. Insurance early-access request
The Global Pet Health Insurance feature is a coming-soon information service, not an insurance application, quote, policy, or active coverage. If you choose to join early access, Amavio opens a prepared message in your email app. Your email address and the optional animal family, companion name, and country included in that message are transmitted only after you choose to send it. We use the correspondence to record and answer your request for launch information. You can ask us to remove your early-access request at any time.
9. Third-party destinations
If you choose to open Apple Maps, call a veterinarian, send an email, visit a seller, submit an order request, or share an export, the destination service handles that activity under its own privacy terms. Information is transmitted only when you take the relevant action.
10. Public website
The presentation website does not use advertising cookies, behavioural analytics, contact forms, or embedded social trackers. It requests Apple's public App Store lookup endpoint so download buttons can show the current App Store price and direct listing; Apple may receive ordinary request data under its own privacy terms. Hosting infrastructure may temporarily process standard technical request data to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose availability.
11. Retention and legal basis
Partner account, catalogue, subscription, order, and audit information is retained while needed to provide the service, administer the relationship, protect the platform, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Processing is based, as applicable, on performing a requested service or contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing Amavio, consent for optional actions, and legal obligations.
12. International users and rights
Because Amavio does not receive the app's local pet records, access, correction, export, or deletion of that information is performed directly in the app or by removing it from the device. For Partner Hub data, order-request data, technical logs, or email correspondence, you may contact us to exercise applicable rights, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability where provided by law. Hosting or service providers may process data in other countries with appropriate safeguards.
13. Children
Amavio is intended for adult animal owners and business partners and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
14. Security
Amavio uses iOS sandboxing, system permission controls, encrypted HTTPS transport, hashed passwords, role-based access, secure sessions, review controls, and audit logging. No method of storage or transmission is absolutely secure, so keep your device and account credentials protected.
15. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change and will post the revised effective date. Privacy questions or rights requests: privacy@nawaeurope.com
