Frequently asked questions

How do I back up my records?

Amavio stores information locally. Your normal iPhone backup settings determine whether the app's local data is included in a device backup. You can also create an explicit care-summary export from the app when that feature is available.

How do I remove my information?

Delete individual records in Amavio, or delete the app to remove its local app container. Any separate iPhone backup remains controlled through your Apple account and device settings.

Why is on-device AI unavailable?

Apple's on-device model requires compatible hardware, a supported operating system and language, and Apple Intelligence enabled in Settings. Amavio's offline guides, safety information, search, and care tools remain available without generative AI.

I think my pet has an emergency

Contact your veterinarian or a local emergency veterinary clinic immediately. Amavio cannot provide emergency care, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not wait for an app response.

Accessibility

We aim to support Dynamic Type, VoiceOver, sufficient colour contrast, clear labels, and reduced motion. If something is difficult to use, email support with the word “Accessibility” in the subject.
